E-commerce Website & Portal — GreenLeaf Organics

Client

GreenLeaf Organics, a direct-to-consumer organic grocery brand in Surrey, BC selling weekly boxes and pantry staples.

Problem

GreenLeaf was selling through market stalls and social media DMs — orders collected manually, deliveries coordinated over spreadsheets, and repeat purchases reliant on customers remembering to reorder. The brand had loyal customers but no owned sales channel, no subscription model, and no way to grow without hiring more hands for admin.

Solution

Gravitas India built GreenLeaf's e-commerce website and customer portal: a storefront for one-off orders and weekly boxes, and a portal where subscribers manage delivery day, skip weeks, and pause their subscription. The site carried the brand's organic positioning through design while the backend automated what the spreadsheets used to do.

Implementation / Technical Approach

  • Storefront with box configurator — customers compose weekly boxes from available produce, with price calculated live and stock limited per week.
  • Subscription engine — recurring orders with delivery-day selection, skip/pause controls, and billing that handled prorated changes without manual intervention.
  • Customer portal — subscribers log in to manage delivery day, skip weeks, or pause — without emailing the founder.
  • Operational dashboard — order, delivery, and stock views that replaced the spreadsheet workflow, with weekly box lists exportable for packing.
  • Mobile-first checkout — the majority of GreenLeaf's customers order from their phones, so the flow was built and tested mobile-first.
